i don't think all songs will sound good on bells. you need to pick songsthat will work on bells - i'm not sure about theory or anything - maybe you can't have too many sharps of flats or something (or none of them?).

i'm sure the bell ringing organizations will know if a song works or not

I agree , not all songs will sound good on Bells, although it seems most classical smelody's translate very well.
