I want to puke every time I hear that song now. It was written for Marilyn Monroe. It should go down in history as being about Marilyn, not Princess Diana. No disrespect intended for her. If EJ had any real talent, he would have written a new song for Diana.

I don't think there was any disrespect intended for Marilyn. In fact, Elton John has said he will never play the Diana version live again. Also, note that radio stations always play the Marilyn Version.
The Diana version raised millions and millions for worthy causes. |

I agree that Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven has to be on this list. Its a true masterpiece...musically and lyrically....and those who disagree, let them go to HELL!!! |

Maybe the songs we least suspect will be the ones that are remembered, how about Tv themes and jingles? Those catchy tunes that you can't get out of your head, anyone agree? |
